collaborative project | je me souviens
Started this summer at Le Lieu de la Photographie, my new collaborative project je me souviens (inspired by the George Perec homonym book ) will go on at the Festival du Regard this fall.
While making my book la promesse, I imagined a visual narrative and sent a series of photos to writers and poets, and they replied with beautiful songs and poems, developing a unique image-text correspondence. In je me souviens, I switch around roles, I ask viewers of the show la promesse to share intimate memories, anonymously written down and slipped into a box I will open privately at the end of the show, and later on, reply to, with my personal images. This collective material, cumulated along the shows and locations, will be the starting point of an imaginary words/images correspondence, an intimate plural and fictive photo diary.
