A free-lance photographer since 2001, Marilia Destot goes on both journalistic and artistic careers, mixing photography and multimedia (animated and interactive forms of photography). Beside her solo shows, she initiated & participated to many artistic collaborations in the fields of dance, fashion and photography.
Her personal photography work focuses, through portrait and landscapes series, on the relation & perceptions of the model to his environment. Exploring, in a pictorial and sensitive way, a definition of the photographic medium : a fragmented and subjective vision of time, space and memory.
In 2008, her series Ellipses is awarded in France, exhibited and collected by the Bibliothèque Nationale de France in Paris.
